Finding the Cause of Lower Back Pain
When a patient comes to our office with lower back pain, after finding out what’s causing that lower back pain, one of the best treatments we have is chiropractic adjustments.
When we utilize chiropractic adjustments to remove those subluxations, this is what it’s going to look like. We’re creating traction. We’re checking and finding out where the fixations are and where the subluxations are. Based on X-rays, if needed, we’re going to make a chiropractic adjustment.
Using Traction for Facet and Disc Injuries
When we’re dealing with facet injuries or disc injuries, we love these tables because of what we do. We are utilizing traction. When the body is going into traction, those discs get pumped with fluid, and we can work on the muscles relaxing and preparing the spine for the adjustment.
Leah is volunteering for us today. Thank you, Leah.
When you are here being adjusted by Dr. Andrey or Dr. Martin, you’ll feel relaxed, your muscles letting go, and, of course, pain going away.
Comfortable Adjustments Using Drop Tables
In addition to traction, we do utilize drops. What happens is that when we make a thrust, the table is going to make a lot of noise. But what it does is the table stops while I’m still thrusting, allowing the bone to set properly without using a lot of force.
This is a very comfortable adjustment.
Vibration Therapy for Soft Tissues
In addition to adjustments of the spine, pelvis, or SI joints—sacroiliac joints—we often use vibration therapy if we need to work on soft tissues.
For example, if it is piriformis syndrome that creates shooting pain or a sciatic kind of pain, we can use soft-tissue work using vibration. Sometimes we’re using our hands. Sometimes we’re using machines to get the muscles relaxed, increase blood flow to the area, and, of course, eliminate pain.
Using ArthroStim
Oftentimes, we use ArthroStim, which is a very quick thrust. This also uses a specific frequency that allows the mechanoreceptors of the joint to respond better and faster.
Sometimes we just need to use a little bit more or a little bit less on the soft tissue or the joints. That also helps us eliminate those subluxations.
Helping Your Body Heal From the Inside Out
When you’re here in our office, we’re going to utilize all of these techniques and many others to eliminate pain, reduce inflammation, and allow you to do whatever you need to do better and faster.
And, of course, we remove those subluxations so that your body can heal from the inside out. I’m looking forward to seeing you on this table.
